Engage in the Healing Power of Nature…

Join Heather Luna and learn to build your own medicine garden.

Apply regenerative agricultural methods in a small-scale garden setting.  Improve soil health and nutrient cycling to eliminate the need for buying soil amendments.

By harnessing Nature's perfect design as the template for creating a garden ecosystem, we will learn how to build healthy soil without tillage, reduce water consumption, and grow healthy plants organically.

Regenerative gardening is a conscious practice of building and cultivating healthy soil ecology that helps both us and the Earth.

Learn to Cultivate Living Soil

This hands-on, project-oriented workshop will apply key principles from permaculture and regenerative agriculture to create a garden from the ground up. Beginning with a roughly 8 x 10 square foot patch of untended land, we will design, construct, and plant a garden from start to finish. We will build compost and make medicines for the earth to keep the garden well nourished.

This workshop will demonstrate gardening methods which disturb the soil as little as possible, strategies for keeping it covered with organic matter, enhancing biodiversity, compost cultivation and pollinator attraction.

Herbal Elements

We will spend time deepening our relationship with the plants, sharing their many healthful applications for everyday complaints.

  • Discuss edible and medicinal uses of herbs and common weeds

  • Make herbal remedies to take home (materials provided)

  • Discover delicious weedy recipes

  • Engage in plant healing practices

  • Herbal tea will be served daily
